Promising top quality with maximum savings is no easy task, but, with the MT 500, this is possible.
Engineered to satisfy any rod breakdown requirement, the efficiency of immersion technology combined with the simplicity of spray lubrication is the winning philosophy that lies at the heart of the MT 500.
Unlike traditional submerged-type machines, the MT 500 SC is similar in design to a spray lubrication machine, making wire string-up and all subsequent processes more manageable, and minimising operator exposure to emulsion vapour. Moreover, the dies of the first module are all located below the pulling rings, which not only guarantees perfect wire lubrication, but also reduces die wear, making for further savings. Only once all wire string up operations have been completed is the door closed and the work area filled with emulsion. The whole drawing process is then performed with submerged lubrication, optimising the quality of your end product, a clear advantage in comparison with traditional spray-type machines.
Technical features
- Integrated emulsion transit tank
- Self-supporting modular frame with no foundations
- 500 mm conical-profile capstans in the first module, 400 mm in the second and 300 mm in the third.
- In the first module dies work under more than 500 mm of emulsion head
- Quick diameter change device and fast outlet diameter adjustment with programmable wire section reduction
- Programmable wire elongation
- Fully submerged finishing die
Advantages
- Fully submerged drawing process on the lower inlet row and spray lubrication on the upper row.
- Perfect wire-die alignment
