During the 38th General Meeting of Association “Intercable”, which was successfully held from December 7 to 12, 2009, in Bologna/Italy, participants had fun and got a chance to socialise through the traditional football match between customers of the wire and cable industry (“Elektrokabel” team) and their suppliers (“Intercable” team). Of course SAMP played in the latter team.
The match took place on December 8, 2009 in Trebbo di Reno, not far from Bologna, and consisted of two teams of 7 players, each of them playing hard to win. The players thoroughly enjoyed the tough but always correct game, the good sportsmanship, as well as the warm support of their wives and colleagues. The game was won 7:6 by “Elektrokabel” team, who received a nicely engraved cup from President Prof. Peshkov. In addition, consolation prizes were granted to the second best team and to our unlucky goalkeeper Pietro Raimondi, who got injured during the first minutes of the match.
After the game, SAMP offered all of the participants a friendly dinner in a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere, where toasts and singing went on until late at night.
SAMP congratulates the “Elektrokabel” team for the excellent result, but also thanks all players of the “Intercable” team for being such a good sport!
