The 38th General Meeting of Intercable was marked by the Gala Dinner sponsored by the Intercable Association, held at the Royal Carlton Hotel in Bologna/Italy on December 9, 2009. After two interesting and full days of symposium, the guests could at last relax and socialise in an elegant and pleasant Christmas atmosphere.
More than 140 people attended the Gala Dinner, which featured a delicious, typical Bolognese five-course menu, entertainment from a famous wizard, Mago Leo, and a funny caricaturist as well as background classical music. The dinner room was beautifully decorated with a giant Christmas tree, red carpet and table centrepieces made of fresh and dry fruits.
All the guests also enjoyed the live music performance by Mrs. Liudmila Feoktistova and Mr. Valentin Maloletniy, from company Beltelecabel, who played guitar and sang traditional Belarus songs to celebrate their recent admission to the Intercable Association.
During the evening, SAMP President Antonio Maccaferri paid homage to Intercable President Prof. Peshkov, giving him a personalised T-shirt of Bologna Football Team, which was much appreciated. Moreover, SAMP presented Mrs. Elena Bulgakova, on behalf of Intercable, an engraved silver plate featuring one of the most well-known Bologna symbols, the Fountain of Neptune in Piazza Maggiore, as a sign of friendship and esteem.
