Following the two-day Intercable Symposium, SAMP opened the doors for its brand new production facility in Bentivoglio to all the symposium participants on December 10, 2009. The company hosted approximately 150 visitors, including customers, suppliers and partners. The facility, which is dedicated to the production of machine tools and machinery for the 3 Divisions Sampsistemi, Samputensili and Sampingranaggi, represents a significant expansion of the firm's manufacturing capabilities and is moreover the new corporate headquarters.
The event featured a presentation by the management team of SAMP, a product demonstration and a guided tour of the entire 17,500-square-meter facility, including a visit to the photovoltaic system that has been installed on the roof of the new plant. The product demonstration illustrated the machines' range of capabilities and included the presentation of the latest Sampsistemi developments for the wire and cable manufacturing. Meanwhile, everyone's palates were pampered with light snacks and refreshments.
A variety of fun-filled activities rounded up the day. After the open-house, an informal business lunch took place, followed by a visit to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello and a Farewell Dinner sponsored by SAMP.
The day was a real success and a great opportunity for SAMP and the visitors alike. Guests got the benefits of speaking directly to the people who engineered the SAMP machines and exprecienced a new level of customer service. Little wonder that some visitors at the open house asked for a quotation immediately!
