Densen Shimbun visits Sampsistemi

Densen Shimbun visits Sampsistemi

On March 31, 2016, an important delegation from Japan visited our plant in Bentivoglio (BO), Italy. The group was composed of experts working for some of the most important cable manufacturing companies in a number of different sectors, ranging from automotive to aerospace, through building and control cables.

Organized by “Densen Shimbun”, a famous Japanese newspaper specialized in wires and cables, the tour takes place every two years with the aim of visiting the major European suppliers of wire and cable manufacturing technology, before concluding their tour at the international Wire Show in Düsseldorf.

At Sampsistemi, the Japanese delegation had the opportunity to listen to an informative welcome speech by our CEO, Lapo Vivarelli Colonna, as well as to several technical presentations about our latest innovations by our Product Managers, Enrico Conte and Giorgio Puggioli. Subsequently, the delegation was taken on a guided plant tour, where they could see many of our machines and lines on show and running. The tour was rounded out by the presence of some of our most notable technology partners, including CJ-TEK, Fainplast, Guidetti, Esteves, Bechem, La Farga Group and Travar Tec.

As the perfect conclusion to an interesting and exciting day, our guests ended their visit with a traditional Italian dinner held in a wonderful 16th-century villa not far from our plant.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire Japanese delegation, their organizers and partners who visited our headquarters in Bentivoglio and look forward to welcoming them again in 2018!

5 – 7 October 2016 Wire & Cable India 2016

Sampsistemi wire and cable india

Once again, Sampsistemi is getting ready for the upcoming Wire show in Mumbai (October 5-7, 2016). The Italian company looks forward to meeting customers, partners and friends at Hall 1, Booth C14. Many innovative solutions for the wire and cable manufacturing will be on display to highlight the importance of this international event. Let’s have a look at some of the most interesting ones.

The Sampsistemi Multiwire Platform is available in three production solution levels, in order to meet all market requirements in terms of capacity needs and investment budget. These three levels are: Entry Level, Flexibility, Mass Production. These solutions vary in terms of production capacity, product range, flexibility, winding solutions and investment requested. The line on display at the Wire show in Mumbai has been specifically designed and engineered for Mass Production.

The Sampsistemi Multiwire Drawing Platform (DM Platform) is based on the splitting of gear transmission into two or more independent sections, with separate AC servomotors. This allows slip recovery between each section and at the inlet side. All motors are synchronised by means of a control motion system. Slipping reduction and the improvement in the quality of gear transmission, bearings and seals result in a reduction of energy consumption by 10-15% and in a consequent improvement of production costs. Die holders have been specifically designed to improve wire lubrication within the die, to reduce friction and to facilitate the wire cleaning, thereby enhancing the product quality and prolonging the die life. Zirconium oxide pulling rings are used to reach the best possible quality surface of the wire.

The Sampsistemi Annealing Platform includes a number of technical features, such as multimotor technology, adjustable pre-heating length and a wire-walker before contact rings. In addition, the cleaning device on contact rings ensures the integrity of the wire surface, the requested physical properties (mechanical strength, elongation, conductivity and resistance) and maintains the diameter and roundness of the wire. The control system is able to set up production parameters, in particular the kinematic ratio between each axis, in order to form a production recipe stored in the HMI panel. The Annealer Platform is completed with the latest development in annealing technology, in particular the development of the electronic equipment that reduces current distortion (THD-I) and energy waste (PF > 0.90).

Sampsistemi looks forward to meeting customers and partners from all over the world at Wire India! Don’t miss this opportunity, visit Hall 1, Booth C14!

A roaring success of Wire Düsseldorf 2016

Wire Dusseldorf Sampsistemi

Global economic upheaval, new climate regulations spanning the globe and a classic industry on its journey into the new Industry 4.0 digital age – that’s the business climate in which the world’s industry-leading trade fairs Wire and Tube took place for the 15th time in Düsseldorf from April 4 to 8, 2016.

A combined total of about 69,500 trade visitors from more than 130 countries attended the Wire and Tube. The share of international trade fair guests made up 65%, with about one third travelling from overseas. A total net exhibition area of 110.900 square meters was occupied across 16 exhibition halls – a new record value posted in Düsseldorf’s long success story of the Wire and Tube.

Sampsistemi looks back at another successful trade fair participation, which was highlighted by the celebration of the company’s 80th anniversary.

Lapo Vivarelli Colonna, CEO of the SAMP Group, marks the importance of this event: “For 80 years, Sampsistemi has been synonymous with highest-quality wire and cable manufacturing machinery. Our extensive know-how allows us to produce tailor-made turnkey solutions able to satisfy our partners’ needs and maximize their customer value. Over the last few months we have further enlarged our comprehensive product range and strengthened our global presence, as demonstrated by the recent acquisitions of Cortinovis do Brasil, world leader in the production of rotating machines, and of Euro Extrusion, an experienced Italian company focused on the production of extruders for elastomers, tire treads, rubber and optical fiber.”

Federico Bussola, Sales Director of Sampsistemi, further adds: “The Wire show once again attracted a very international, highly competent audience from Europe, Asia, North and South America. Particularly pleasing was the high number of concrete projects that we were able to finalize on the stand. The excellent feedback received from our customers worldwide validates our constant development of high-performance, cost-effective and technology advanced solutions and services for the wire and cable market.”

Sampsistemi would like take this opportunity to thank all customers, partners and suppliers that visited the stand and hopes to see them again at the next Wire Düsseldorf from April 16 to 20, 2018!
