Wire and cables are used massively in the building industry playing a fundamental role in almost every industrial, residential and commercial property. There are mainly two different kinds of cabling in the building sector:

  • Power cabling
  • Data cabling

Although the building wire is highly standardized, having a great quality is important to reduce the risk of unsafe buildings. Safety and reliability are the two main needs of this product; one example is the increase of the flame retardant and halogen free insulated cables. Thereby, wire and cable production machines need to satisfy international standards. Our long experience in the sector acquired in different industries, gives us the ability to design production lines that not only meet the quality standards, but also optimize the cost of your production.

In terms of technical specifications, these cables fall into three separate categories; cables for flexible conductors (bunched wires), largely used in Mediterranean Europe; cables for concentric conductors (stranded wires), which generally comprise 7 wires and are typical of countries applying British cabling standards; and cables for rigid conductors, found above-all in Germany, France and Eastern Europe. Building wire in Asia and the Americas tends to be similar to the Anglo-Saxon variety. With such different standards to contend with, cable producers working in this field clearly require highly specialized machinery. At SAMP, we anticipate the needs of the market, developing and supplying top quality, highly efficient drawing, stranding and insulating/sheathing lines in order to follow any customized request.
