Metal telecom multi-pair cables are produced using drawing and insulating lines at the same time (tandem solution) where the advantage is given by the high production speed and the final elevated cable quality level up to LAN Cat. 8. These lines combine drawing and extrusion technology in a single solution, exploiting the technical synergies available at SAMP and enabling customers to benefit from working with a single supplier that develops and produces the whole line in-house. The extrusion of physically expanded materials (obtained by nitrogen injection) increases the speed of signal transmission, and similar technology is also applied to insulation with polyethylene and fluoropolymers.
